It is easy to live with the dead than to live with the living. The dead don't react , the living do. The people who are no more there will be in our memories and we can only imagine their reactions on the basis of our understanding of their behaviour when they were alive. 

But people change with time, age,place and their surroundings. So how can they be the same but then we treat them as we have always known them. 

So it shows that we draw comfort in people who do not change or their behaviour is predictable. 

The living are having a mind of their own which continuously must change.

If we are not changing, then our behaviour is predictable that means almost dead. An organic personality is what one must aspire for by handling the situations in Life with different approaches. Living with the dead is living in the past . The way out is living your life according to your whims and wishes and taking the dear dead ones along like a partner . Sharing your feats and doubts with them . In a way talking your higher self which is connected to the universe.
